FRC Systems International acquired by JWC Environmental

We are pleased to announce FRC Systems International’s  acquisition by JWC Environmental effective January 6th, 2017.

FRC Systems began serving customers in 1979 with an aspiration of becoming a trusted wastewater treatment solutions provider. Over the past 35 years, we’ve been entrusted with over 500 installations in 20+ countries offering an unparalleled level of reliability and customer service within the industrial wastewater treatment industry. Along with those 35 years, came many long-term partnerships with clients requiring expertise, build quality, excellent service and proactive communications bringing our aspirations full circle.

This new acquisition enhances FRC’s ability to provide a robust suite of products for critical solids preconditioning, pump protection and liquid/solids separation applications in multiple industries.  It will complement JWC Environmental’s market-leading lines of Monster waste shredders & wastewater screening systems that are sold in over 40 countries around the world.

“We are very pleased to become part of such a highly successful company which, like FRC, brings trusted wastewater solutions to the industry,” said Van der Beek. “JWC provides us with an even stronger foundation to accelerate the growth of our DAF products while expanding the types of solutions we can offer our customers, like the JWC Monster grinders and wastewater drum screens.”

As part of the acquisition, Adriaan van der Beek, President of FRC Systems International, will join the JWC Environmental executive team and continue to lead the ongoing business.

FRC Presents at GAWP Industrial Conference 2015

The Georgia Association of Water Professionals held this year’s industrial conference in Athens, Georgia on March 17-18. The event draws engineers, consultants, manufacturers, and vendors from all over the state to network and share knowledge, while discussing new and emerging ideas relevant to the industry in Georgia.

FRC presented a talk titled, “Dual Stage Treatment and Advanced Product Recovery in Industrial Effluents”. In the talk, we discussed the design considerations of several industrial wastewater treatment systems designed with a product recovery approach, as well as the financial benefits of each respective facility’s successful execution of the process. Attendee came away from the session having learned about:

  • Product recovery process design
  • Equipment design considerations
  • Projects in heavy machining, poultry processing, and protein rendering
  • Financial benefits of product recovery

FRC Awarded Perfect Marks for Contractor Safety

FRC has been awarded perfect marks in contractor safety ratings on the ISN network – a resource that helps establish partnerships between hiring clients and contractors by promoting corporate transparency across management, training, and safety infrastructure.

“We always place concerted effort on procedure, safety, and documentation” emphasizes FRC Systems President, Adriaan van der Beek, “these reviews validate that we are doing things the way they ought to be done.”

From the beginning phase of project feasibility studies through final installation and operation, FRC keeps one goal at the top of mind – building trust. “The industrial wastewater industry is rife with new organizations that depart as quickly as they come,” explains van der Beek, “it’s risky for hiring companies to do projects with contractors that don’t have a track record and may not be around a few years down the line. Who do they turn to when there’s a problem?” For this reason numerous food, manufacturing, and oil & gas market leaders have relied on FRC Systems to deliver wastewater solutions that help them reach their environmental sustainability goals.

Skid Mounted DAF Systems Prove Popular Among Wastewater Operators

FRC has developed skid mounted DAF systems designed to ship as plug-and-play units, ready to process industrial wastewater for solids and oil removal.

FRC owner, Adriaan van der Beek, explains: “Recently a small dairy in Vermont was in trouble due to a fire at their WWTP. We were able to mobilize one of our skid mounted DAF systems and send it out to the site for this emergency. The performance of the FRC skid mounted DAF system on FOG, BOD and TP removal was excellent. The dairy decided to purchase the system for permanent operation.”

More and more, industrial facilities are finding it advantageous to maintain small, packaged DAF systems on-hand for cases like those at the Vermont dairy. In addition to operating as a primary solids removal system, skid mounted DAF systems are equally adept in final solids removal, downstream of a biological treatment facility. Some municipal wastewater treatment facilities have found that a skidded DAF unit next to their aeration ponds can help with algae removal
