Reactor Tanks, High-Rate DAF, Biological Treatment, Flocculator, Open-Style DAF
Projektbeschreibung
One of the largest beef producers in North America was expanding their facility which increased their wastewater volume to 425,000 gpd at the site. FRC engineers designed a solution to upsize the entire wastewater treatment system including the existing primary DAF system and secondary DAF system to efficiently and cost effectively handle the added demand.
Die FRC-Lösung
Reactor Tanks – Chemicals dosed to precipitate the colloidal solids and oil emulsifications
Primary High Rate DAF – Float the precipitated solids thereby removing Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG), and insoluble Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD)
Biological Treatment – Remove soluble BOD and as a result it creates biosolids
Secondary Flocculator – Short flocculator to precondition biosolids with flocculant
Secondary Open-Style DAF – Float the biosolids, yielding clean effluent water
