Reactor Tanks, Open-Style DAF
Project Description
FRC designed a solution for a major producer of synthetic rubber. The plant was generating over 1 MGD of wastewater and need to reduce the high amounts of solids, oils, and grease being sent to their biological system. FRC provided a rental DAF, flocculator, and chemical dosing skid that provided an immediate solution and yielded excellent results. Because of the ever-changing wastewater composition and flows, FRC engineered the permanent solution with reactor tanks in lieu of a flocculator.
The FRC Solution
Reactor Tanks – Coagulant, pH adjustment, and polymer dosed to precipitate the high toxicity, colloidal solids
DAF – Float the precipitated solids, yielding wastewater well-suited for further treatment
